Why we are called surgeons

Anyone can lay asphalt. Fewer can save the pavement underneath it.

Most road failures are not surface problems. They are base problems wearing a surface as a symptom. Patch the top and you will be back in twelve months.

Road Surgeons has been providing Local and State Government, councils, Transport for NSW, the State Transit Authority and civil earthworks contractors with specialised asphalt, bitumen, patching and concrete pavement services since 1999.

We lift and stabilise sunken slabs with pressure grouting instead of ripping them out. We seal cracks before water gets into the base. We spray QDP and overlay properly so the repair outlasts the warranty. Every job runs to established safety, quality and environmental procedures, on a schedule built around keeping your road, carpark or expressway open.

Our services

Everything we do,
in one place

Ten specialist services across two disciplines. Asphalt and bitumen work on the surface, concrete pavement work on the structure. Most jobs need both.

How we work

Four steps, every job, no exceptions

The reason a Road Surgeons repair outlasts a cheaper one is not the material. It is what happens before the material goes down.

Step 01

Diagnose

We inspect the failure on site and identify whether you have a surface problem or a base problem. You get told which, honestly, before anything is quoted.

Step 02

Prepare

Cut back to sound pavement, remove the failed material, prepare and prime the base. Skipping this step is why most repairs come back.

Step 03

Repair

The right treatment for the diagnosis - jack it, seal it, patch it, overlay it or resurface it - placed and compacted by our own crew and plant.

Step 04

Verify

Levels checked, site cleaned, road handed back. You receive before and after photos and a record of exactly what was done.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

The short version of what councils, contractors and property managers want to know before they call.

What does Road Surgeons do?

We repair and construct asphalt, bitumen and concrete pavements across Sydney: asphalt patching and paving, crack sealing, rejuvenation, slab jacking, QDP spraying, joint sealing and line marking. One crew, our own fleet, since 1999.

Who do you work for?

Councils, Transport for NSW, civil earthworks contractors, road maintenance companies, commercial property owners, strata managers and large residential projects. Much of our work is on live commercial sites - ports, freight terminals, clubs and carparks.

What areas do you service?

All of Greater Sydney and regional NSW. Recent projects run from Port Botany and Mascot to Gosford and Miranda.

Can you work while our site stays open?

Yes. A large share of our work is programmed as night works so the site keeps operating - we have resurfaced working container yards and freight terminal forecourts overnight without interrupting daytime movements.

Do you handle both asphalt and concrete pavements?

Yes, and that matters: many pavement failures start in one layer and show in the other. We diagnose whether the problem is in the surface or the base before recommending a repair, so you fix the cause rather than the symptom.

How do I get a quote?

Send us the location and a photo of the problem through the quote form, or call 0406 492 094. We inspect before we quote, so you find out whether it is a surface or a base problem first.

Got a road that keeps failing?

Send us the location and a photo. We will tell you whether it is a surface problem or a base problem before you spend anything.
